John A. Freeman MD

John A. Freeman MDDr. Freeman completed medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine after his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. He is fellowship trained in urologic oncology by the Norris Cancer Center at the University of Southern California, where he also completed his urology residency. Dr. Freeman is board certified by the American Board of Urology, is a member of the Society of Urologic Oncologists, and is a fellow in the American Cancer Society. He has recently received training for the da Vinci robotic system, and his clinical interests include laparascopic surgery, urologic cancer and reconstructive surgery, as well as general urology.

Prior to beginning his practice in Reno, Dr. Freeman was on staff with the urology department at the University of North Carolina. He and his wife and four children have enjoyed living in Reno since 1999.

Angelo W. Kanellos MD

Angelo W. Kanellos MDDr. Kanellos completed both medical school and his urology residency training at the University of Southern California in 1992 after graduating from University of Nevada, Reno. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and has recently been trained in the da Vinci robotic system, a minimally invasive surgical tool in the treatment of many urologic diseases. His current clinical interests include both prostate and kidney cancer.

Dr. Kanellos was raised in Reno, and returned to the area to begin his practice and raise his family. He is married and has two teenage children. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, cycling, and trips to wine country.
